About One Sabre

Our story

One Sabre was founded to provide common sense outdoor gear and apparel. When outdoors or adventuring off the beaten path durability, safety, and functionality matter.

One Sabre’s story began out of necessity. Founded by owner operator One Sabre Actual. A father with a love of the outdoors trying to make ends meet and instill a love and respect for the wilderness in his children. One Sabre Actual is an Eagle Scout, a US Marine infantry veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, and a law enforcement officer.

The companies namesake comes from the founder’s call sign on his last deployment “white 1 saber.” Translated it meant 2nd platoon, 1st fire team, scout for a light armored recon battalion.

The original idea for our flagship item, the reversible Blaze Bonnie, was from attempting to control friendly aircraft in a densely wooded area where identifying which operator was communicating and giving distance/direction to the aircraft was difficult. Wishing he had an air panel he thought of how convenient it would be to reverse his boogie and use it as a marker for the helicopter. Thus the idea was sprang, months later he sewed a prototype himself and began searching for a production company. After several prototype failures form various producers, a winner was found and the adventure into building a business began.

One Sabre began officially in August of 2023 and our first sales happened in December of that year. Currently, sales are only completed through fulfillment by Amazon.
